Webinar series

GKF hosted eight times (Feb, Mar, April, May, July, Aug, Oct, Nov) on topics such as Immigration, Poetry, Racial solidarity, US-Korea Relations, Peace Corps in Korea, Korean Independence Movement, and Cross-Cultural communication issues.

In addition, we are in the process of reviewing and updating the Bylaws to ensure its effective and proper operation of doing business. GKF also further strengthened our connections/collaborations with other organizations such as SLAM, Dillon Int'l, Korea Academy of STL, KAA, St. Louis Youth Ambassadors, MU Asian Affairs Center, and UMSL International Programs.

We are especially excited to have Ms. Minjung Kim as the new director who became the first female, the first immigrant, and the first person of color in the St Louis Art Museum’s 142 years. GKF will be devoted to partner with all these organizations to make St. Louis and Midwest region more diverse-appreciating and multi-culture friendly.

GKF’s continuous efforts and dedication to promote Korean culture and Arts over the past few years were recognized this year to receive several grants from Korea Foundation, The Republic of Korea General Consulate of Chicago, and Arts and Education Council.

As part of our strategic plan, we set a courageous goal of delivering 250,000 annual inspirational messages in connection to Korean arts and culture by 2025.  We are well on our way to achieving this goal having connected more than 114,000 times this year through in person and online programing, email, and social media.

All our success and achievements could not be done without the generous support and service of our current donors, partners, and volunteers. I truly appreciate their contribution towards our accomplishments that we have highlighted.

As things look better for 2022 and very positive response about visual programs, we are pleased to launch GKF film series (online and offline) for next year. We look forward to more in person events but will still offer virtual options such as our Webinar series

s a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, GKF relies solely on the generosity of our donors and valuable contributions of our volunteers.  We invite you to partner with us in our mission to promote Korean Arts and cultural experiences to inspire greater appreciation and foster cooperation among the peoples of the world, with a focus on the American Heartland.

GKF set a goal to raise $30,000. We currently have $10,000 more to raise to achieve our goal and allow us to continue to offer valuable programming.  If your employer has a donor match program, we encourage you to take advantage of this option to increase the impact of your donation. Contributions in any amount will be greatly appreciated.
