GATEWAY KOREA FOUNDATION STATEMENT ON THE MASS SHOOTING IN MONTEREY PARK

The Gateway Korea Foundation is shocked and saddened by the news of the multiple deaths and injuries that occurred at a Lunar New Year event in Monterey Park, California. Lunar New Year is a joyous holiday in many Asian cultures, and it is devastating that the beginning of this celebratory time has ended in such senseless tragedy and loss. Our deepest sympathies are with the victims and their families, and our hearts are with the Monterey Park AAPI community.
