The Gateway Korea Foundation provides opportunities for the Heartland Community to learn about and experience Korean culture.  Based in St. Louis, Missouri, the Gateway Korea Foundation will draw from communities across the American Midwest to nurture a greater understanding and appreciation for Korean culture.

Film Title: Faces of Seoul
A documentary that is at once a city portrait of an Asian capital. It accounts the recent changes of Seoul from the perspectives of both a former local dweller with many intimate memories of the city.

Filmmaker Gina Kim (b. 1973, South Korea) received her MFA from Cal Arts and a BFA from Seoul National University. Her five feature-length films and short films have garnered impressive acclaim, with screenings at prestigious film festivals such as Berlin, Venice, Locarno, Rotterdam, Vancouver, Buenos Aires, Pusan, Deauville and Sundance, as well as venues such as the MOMA, Centre Pompidou and the Smithsonian.
