Day 2: Crafts, Games, Folk Song & Folk Tale
Friday, September 18th, 7:00 PM

Chuseok is the season where families visit their ancestral hometowns to celebrate and give thanks to their ancestors and to nature. Day 2 will begin with a video montage of photographs showcasing the beauty of South Korea, accompanied by Korean folk songs that evoke memories of home. The celebration continues with videos on crafts, games, folk tales, and folk songs. The videos on arts and crafts will demonstrate how to make and play Ddakji, Jegi-chagi and Yut-nori. These will be augmented with photographs and videos from previous GKF Chuseok celebrations. The celebration concludes with the folk tale “Dangun Myth.”

The Gateway Korea Foundation's Annual Chuseok Festival is going virtual this year with a three-day virtual celebration! Make sure to go to our website to joi...

All the videos, photographs, music, artwork, and video editing have been prepared by families and residents from the St. Louis metropolitan community.
